Explanation:

Hemoglobin, or haemoglobin, abbreviated Hb or Hgb, is the iron-containing oxygen-transport metalloprotein in the red blood cells of almost all vertebrates as well as the tissues of some invertebrates. Hemoglobin in blood carries oxygen from the lungs or gills to the rest of the body.

In what ways are the three groups of amphibians similar different
svetoff [14.1K]
The three groups of amphibians: Salamanders, Frogs, and Caecilians are different because they look different as adults. Salamanders have tails and they have four weak short limbs that allow them to walk instead of jump. Frogs have fours legs with strong hind legs and no tails. Caecilians have no legs and they are burrowing animals.

22. A plant geneticist is investigating the inheritance of genes for bitter taste (Su) and explosive rind (e) in watermelon (Cit
mylen [45]

Answer:

See the answer below

Explanation:

Using the formula for calculating Chi square (X^2):

X^2 = \frac{(O - E)^2}{E} where O = observed frequency and E = expected frequency.

The observed frequencies for the four phenotypes are 88, 62, 62, and 81 respectively.

For the expected frequency, the phenotypes are supposed to assort in 9:3:3:1 according to Mendel ratio.

Hence, expected frequencies are calculated as:

phenotype (1) = 9/16 x 293 = 164.81

phenotype (2) = 3/16 x 293 = 54.94

phenotype (3) = 3/16 x 293 = 54.94

phenotype (4) = 1/16 x 293 = 18.31

The X^2 is calculated thus:

Phenotype O E X^2

  1 88 164.81 \frac{(88 - 164.81)^2}{164.81} = 35.80

  2 62 54.94 \frac{(62 - 54.94)^2}{54.94} = 0.91

  3 62 54.94 \frac{(62 - 54.94)^2}{54.94} = 0.91

  4 81 18.31 \frac{(81 - 18.31)^2}{18.31} = 214.64

Total X^2 = 35.80 + 0.91 + 0.91 + 214.64 = 252.26

To the nearest tenth = 252

Degree of freedom = n - 1 = 4- 1 = 3

X^2 tabulated = 7.815

The calculated X^2 exceeds the critical value, hence, the null hypothesis is rejected. The two genes did not assort independently.

In arabidopsis, a mutation causing the b-class genes to be non-functional will result in the organ identity of the four whorls to be; Sepal, sepal, Carpel, carpel. Arabidopsis is an angiosperm, a dicot from the mustard family Brassicaceae. It is widely used as a model organism in plant biology. It offers important advantages for basic research in genetics and molecular biology.

Best way to get good scores on exam
bearhunter [10]
Well first of all don’t get scared cause it will only make things worse. Try doing meditation and do exercise in the morning. Eat almonds and healthy stuff. Be sure to sleep early and wake up early. This will make you less tension free .and do things that help you relax.

Make sure you have covered all the topics in the subject . And make sure you understand everything because it will be hard to remember information that you don’t understand. If you don’t get even a small thing than don’t be afraid to ask anyone .

You can make your own question paper of the subject that is based on the layout of the content . Don’t be afraid to try to put hard things or things you don’t know or don’t understand. Make sure it has everything that might come in the exam . After a few days solve the question paper . This way you will know what you already know by heart and what you need to work on .

You can record voice messages of the questions and listen to it . After you hear the question pause the audio and say the answer loud and clear so that you can remember it better. Try doing this daily without fail .

You can do online quizzes and short exams or tests that have the content in your textbook. Try using this app (Brainly) to ask your doubt or use Quizizz in which you can make your own quiz or you can do different quizzes.

By the following methods the information that in in your textbook will be constantly repeated every time and you will remember it for a long time to come .

If you want you can try and do some research to improve your answers and your knowledge on a particular topic.

This is basically what I do when I am in a situation similar to this
So sorry if this is what you did not want
I use this methods and I’m my school topper so I really recommend them
And I’m only 13 so I don’t know all those big exams or tests
But I hope this helps you to pass your exam
BEST OF LUCK TO YOU
