Answer:

V = M/D

Step-by-step explanation:

D = Density

M = mass

V = Volume

Volume for Density:

D = M/V

If we want to find volume we just rearrange the equation:

V = M/D

We can plug in the numbers to check whether or not this equation is true. Say we need to find density and the volumes & mass are already given (V=5 cm^3 and M=10g)

So, 10g/5cm^3 = D

         2g/cm^3 = Density

Using the following numbers we can now find the Volume. Say we don't know that 5cm^3 is the volume and we are only given the Density (2g/cm^3) and Mass (10g). We plug those values into the equation V=M/D:

V = 10g/2g/cm^3

V = 5cm^3

The grams cancel out and we are only left with the cm^3 part.

Hope that explains it :)

Find the 7th term of the geometric sequence with the given terms.
ohaa [14]

Answer:

1. 1458

2. 500 or -500

Step-by-step explanation:

1. a4=54, a5=162

r = 162/54 = 3

a7 = a5 × r²

= 162 × 3² = 1458

2.a4=-4, a6=-100

r² = -100/-4 = 25

r = +/- 5

a7 = a6 × r

= -100 × +/- 5

= +/- 500

Mom put plums and apples onto a plate. The ratio of the number of plums to the number of apples was 3:2. How many fruit did mom
Delvig [45]

Answer:

30 fruits

Step-by-step explanation:

Let

x ----> number of plums on the plate

y ----> number of apples on the plate

we know that

The ratio of the number of plums to the number of apples was 3:2

so

\frac{x}{y} =\frac{3}{2}

x=1.5y ----> equation A

After Ed took 6 plums from the plate, the number of plums remaining on the plate became the same as the number of apples

so

x-6=y ----> equation B

substitute equation A in equation B

1.5y-6=y

solve for y

1.5y-y=6\\0.5y=6\\y=12

Find the value of x

x=1.5(12)=18

therefore

Mon put on the table

x+y=18+12=30\ fruits
