Answer:

V = M/D

Step-by-step explanation:

D = Density

M = mass

V = Volume

Volume for Density:

D = M/V

If we want to find volume we just rearrange the equation:

V = M/D

We can plug in the numbers to check whether or not this equation is true. Say we need to find density and the volumes & mass are already given (V=5 cm^3 and M=10g)

So, 10g/5cm^3 = D

         2g/cm^3 = Density

Using the following numbers we can now find the Volume. Say we don't know that 5cm^3 is the volume and we are only given the Density (2g/cm^3) and Mass (10g). We plug those values into the equation V=M/D:

V = 10g/2g/cm^3

V = 5cm^3

The grams cancel out and we are only left with the cm^3 part.

Hope that explains it :)

write an equation in general form of the line passing through (3, -5) whose slope is the negative reciprocal of -1/4
IceJOKER [234]
Negative reciprocal means
-1/4 times x=-1 solve for x
multiply both sides by -4/1
x=-4
so slope=-4
y=mx+b
m=slope, b=y intercpet
y=-4x+b
input 3 for x and -5 for y
-5=-4(3)+b
-5=-12+b
add 12 to both sides
7=b
the equation in slope intercept form is y=-4x+7
that is my standard form
another standard form is
y+4x=7

A rectangle has a perimeter of 30 inches.one side measures 5 inches.what of the measures of the three sides ?
cluponka [151]
I believe since the definition of perimeter is adding the lengths of all three sides of the angles the, width of the rectangle would be 5, and the length of the rectangle would be 10.

gayaneshka [121]

Answer:

  48°

Step-by-step explanation:

In triangle CYZ, angles Y and C are complementary, so ...

  (5x +22) + (12x) = 90

  17x +22 = 90

  17x = 68

  x = 4

The angle of interest is 12x° , so has measure

  12·4° = 48°
