Explanation:

Cortisol is a hormone naturally produced by your body. Created by the adrenal glands located on your kidneys, cortisol is released when you're under stress. This sends your body into fight-or-flight mode, temporarily pausing regular bodily functions and slowing your metabolism

Answer: The stress response mobilizes the body's energy stores in order to respond to a threatening situation. A striking observation is the diversity of metabolic changes that can occur in response to stress. On one hand acute intense stress is commonly associated with feeding suppression and reduced body weight gain.

What advice can you give for high school??? ‍♀️
irga5000 [103]

Answer:

I'm starting high-school next school-year and so far I've listed some things for myself that I plan on following; hopefully it helps you as well.

Explanation:

  1. Be confident in yourself -- never let others dictate how you feel.
  2. Find a balance between school and social activities. Friends and activities are always fun, but if you put off time to study or work on assignments, your school work will pile up. So make sure to try to find a balance.
  3. Be prepared for your classes. It's always helpful to know what topics you'll be going through so make sure to read the syllabus
  4. Along with being prepared - have a notebook  for class and pencil. Writing notes are super helpful for classes because (in my opinion) you memorize key things quicker.
  5. Never change yourself for other people (also goes along with #1).
  6. Enjoy yourself. I think high-school is a time for fun and more opportunities to learn. Try to embrace the experience and be comfortable in the new environment.

I'm not going to put the whole list but these are one the key things. I really hope this helps and good luck on whatever high-school sends your way!
