Both teams will need the field after 24 days.

One team uses the field every 8 days for practice. This means that after today, the next days they will need the field are:

  • 8 , 16, 24, 32, 40 and so on

The other team uses the field every 6 days which means that after today, they will need the field for the following days:

  • 6, 12, 18, 24, 30, 36 and so on.

Notice how they will both need the field after 24 days.

In conclusion, both teams will need the field on the 24th day after today.

Tom [10]

Absolute value of any number is always positive because it represent distance and distance will always positive.

To place chimney at least 30 feet , the distance along the width of the roof (x) will be x = 17.5 feet or x = 2.5 feet.

Since, The height of the roof is described by the function f(x)=−4/3|x−10| + 40

Since, minimum height is 30 feet.

So , substitute f(x)=30 in above expression.

                 30=−4/3|x−10| + 40

                   4/3|x−10| = 10

                      |x−10|=30/4

                      |x−10| = 7.5

Taking positive case,

                           x−10 = 7.5

                           x = 17.5 feet

Taking negative case,

                          x−10 = - 7.5

                          x = 10 - 7.5

                          x = 2.5 feet

Sketch the graph of the function f(x) = -(x-4)^3 by indicating how a more basic function has been shifted, reflected, stretched,
irina [24]

Step-by-step explanation:

In the attached images we can see the rigid transformation of the function f(x) =x^{3}

1. The basic graph f(x) =x^{3}

2. The reflected graph f(x) = -x^{3}

3. The displaced graph f(x) = -(x-4)^{3}

Reflection: In the expression f(x) = -(x-4)^{3} , the sign - before the parenthesis indicates that the function is reflected in the x axis, for this case the function is even, this means that -f(x) = f(-x) , then the reflection on the x axis is equal to the reflection on the y axis.

Displacement: We observe the term (x-4) of the function f(x) = -(x-4)^{3} and analyze the value -4, where, the sign - indicates displacement to the right and the value 4 indicates the amount that the graph shifted .

What is the answer to this problem -2x – 4 < 3x + 21
horsena [70]

Start with

-2x-4 < 3x+21

Add 2x to both sides:

-4 < 5x+21

Subtract 21 from both sides:

-25 < 5x

Divide both sides by 5. Since it is positive, we don't have to change the inequality sign:

-5 < x

So, the answer is x > -5

Answer:

A. 3/2

Step-by-step explanation:

When two exponents have the same base, you can cancel the bases and set the exponents equal to each other

3x-2=x+1

3x=x+3

Nutka1998 [239]
28+24=52
So we make a sum of what's going to equal 52 in small packets.
I found 4x13=52. 13 would be the number of packets......
BUT!! Since it MUST be equal dark and milk and we have 28 and 26,
you would have to eliminate 1 pack because all 4 would be milk chocolate.
So that is only 12 packets.
4 per pack so that would be 2 dark and 2 milk per packet.
