Answer:

most people take the lie to be the truth and therefore the idea of searching for the truth does not even arise.

For the one who can see the lie for what it is, the search for the truth is no longer necessary. The truth reveals itself by simply rejecting the lie. The entire search for the truth was in fact an effort of demasking of the lie masquerading as the truth.
