Explanation:

Claim: Group behavior can increase the chances for an individual and a species to survive and reproduce. Evidences for the claim: As the claim suggests that group behavior is favorable for organisms, it increases their chance of survival and reproduction. First of all we have to understand what is group. Group is a collection of same kind of organisms that travel, live as well as perform daily life work together. When organisms are living in a large group they have better chances to find a mate. Living in a group helps the organisms to save them from the attack of predators, because unity is strength. Large groups have more power to access food sources and can find ample source with the assistance of fellow members, than solitary animals. Additional reputable evidence: We have often seen the birds that they form a V shape when they fly in air in a group. Now, this group formation in V helps those birds to navigate their pathways in a better way. They have more chances to reach in their destination even if that is far off from their place of departure, because the whole group's navigating ability help to reach a destination faster. They are better able to reproduce, survive there. Similarly when fish swim in groups, they can avoid the attack of predators and are better able to swim for a longer period of time to reach theri destination. Conclusion: Group behavior equips the organisms with protection and support. It better adapts an organism to survive the harsh effects of the environment.

1) Examine the diagrams below.
kaheart [24]

Answer/Explanation:

The diagram below shows the various stages of ecological succession that occurs over time and how an ecosystem forms from bare surfaces like an area of land covered by lava as a result of volcanic eruption.

The changes in the group of species that occur overtime is depicted in the "six stages" graph which can be described as follows:

1. The first line in the graph shows bare rock which initially supports no life forms.

2. The second stage is dominated initially by pioneer species such as mosses, lichen, which usually produce many small spores and seeds that are dispersed over large area of land. They colonize the bare rocks and their activities help in the breaking down of the rocks to form soil. They also help in the formation of organic matter, and with time, enable the growth of herbaceous plants such as grasses and ferns.

3. At stage 3, herbeceous plants like grasses and herbs that are usually annual plants, gradually replace the mosses and lichen, followed by perrenial herbaceous plants. Further build up of organic manure occurs, thereby encouraging more species of organism to dominate the land

4. At stage 4, woody pioneers that are more later than grasses begin to form and dominate the area with time as more group of species are added.

5. At stage 5, Fast growing trees that are shade intolerant begin to emerge and populate the area, in the presence of herbs and other vascular plant species.

6. At stage 6, a climax community is formed as shade tolerant trees emerge.

Mules, the offspring of donkeys and horses, are commonly used as pack animals. Despite the existence of mules, horses and donkey
Mashcka [7]

Answer:

Mule is that discovery which changes the idea that horse and donkey belong to the same specie.

Explanation:

When male donkey mate with female horse, mule is produced but two mules cannot produce another mule because they are infertile. So according to the definition of specie, species are the organisms which mate with each other and produce a fertile offspring. So according to this definition, donkey and horse are two different species.

timama [110]

They require moisture is a common feature of all protists

Explanation:

Protists are categorized based on how they eat, how they move and how similar they are to the other eukaryotic kingdoms. Protists are single-celled almost. One can speculate regarding protists as all eukaryotic organisms that are not animals, neither plants not a fungus. They also may seek for food like an animal or photosynthesize like a plant.

Protists are organisms that need moisture to live. They mostly live in aquatic habitats, though they may also grow in moist tree trunks and soil, among other environments. Protists also go through periods of sexual or asexual reproduction, based on their species or seldom their environmental situations.
