Figure 2 and 4. The translation method was used . Figure 2 was moved to the right and enlarged. They’ve still maintained the same shape however only enalarged.
Figure 4 has only decreased in size.

WILL GIVE BRAINLIEST! Find k so that (5, k) is equidistant from (–1, 2) and (3, 0).
pochemuha

Answer:

9

Step-by-step explanation:

So first I created 2 distance forumlas and set them equal to each other

\sqrt{(5+1)^2+(k-2)^2} =\sqrt{(5-3)^2+(k)^2}

then I simplified them

(5+1)^2+(k-2)^2 =(5-3)^2+(k)^2\\

36 + k^2 - 4k +4 = k^2 + 4

-4k + 36 = 0\\

4k = 36

k = 9

when k = 9, the two distances are equal

What is the measure of
Helen [10]

Answer:

A = 37 degrees ; B = 82 degrees

Step-by-step explanation:

the angle A plus 143 must measure 180 degrees

angle A = 180 - 143 = 37 degrees

the sum of the inner angles of a triangle is 180 degrees

A + B + C = 180

37 + B + 61 = 180

B = 180 - 98 = 82 degrees

A cone has radius 9 and height 12. A frustum of this cone has height 4.
Rom4ik [11]

The radii of the frustrum bases is 12

Step-by-step explanation:

In the figure attached below, ABC represents the cone cross-section while the BCDE represents frustum cross-section

As given in the figure radius and height of the cone are 9 and 12 respectively

Similarly, the height of the frustum is 4

Hence the height of the complete cone= 4+12= 16 (height of frustum+ height of cone)

We can see that ΔABC is similar to ΔADE

Using the similarity theorem

AC/AE=BC/DE

Substituting the values

12/16=9/DE

∴ DE= 16*9/12= 12

Hence the radii of the frustum is 12
