X, x+1, x+2, x+3 are 4 consecutive integers

2(x + x+2) = 5(x+3) - 26
2(2x+2) = 5(x+3) - 26
4x + 4 = 5x + 15 - 26
4x + 4 = 5x - 11
15 = x
15, 16, 17, 18

x, x+2, x+4 consecutive even integers
2(x+4)+11 = x + 9
2x + 8 + 11 = x + 9
2x + 19 = x + 9
x = -10
-10, -8, -6

Answer:

  12.9 square yards

Step-by-step explanation:

The base is an equilateral triangle, so we can assume that the three faces have the same dimensions. Each of those face triangles has an area of ...

  A = 1/2bh

  A = 1/2(3 yd)(2 yd) = 3 yd²

The base area is computed using the same formula and the given height:

  A = 1/2(3 yd)(2.6 yd) = 3.9 yd²

Then the total surface area is that of the base and the three faces:

  SA = (3.9 yd²) + 3(3 yd²) = 12.9 yd² . . . total surface area

A spinner is divided into 4 sections. The spinner is spun 100 times. The probability distribution shows the results.
Vitek1552 [10]

P(1≤x≤3) defined the probability that the result is between 1 and 3, included. You can answer this question in two ways:

1. Sum the probabilities of good events:

From the graph, we have

P(x=1) = 0.32,\quad P(x=2) = 0.24,\quad P(x=3) = 0.28

So,

P(1\leq x \leq 3) = 0.32+0.24+0.28 = 0.84

2. Use complementary probabilities

Asking that the result is 1, 2 or 3 is the same as asking that the result is not 4. The probability that the result is 4 is 0.16, so the probability that the result is not 4 will be

P(x\neq 4) = 1-P(x=4) = 1-0.16=0.84

The result is obviously the same.
