What is the difference between law and theory?

In simplest terms, a law predicts what happens while a theory proposes why. A theory will never grow up into a law, though the development of one often triggers progress on the other.

Look above for a better idea and explantation. Law has been enforced by people, while theory is just something heavily believed and agreed with. Here’s a example. Don’t kiss on the first date. This isn’t a LAW, but it’s advice that many people agree with.
