If you are referring to the factors that caused the United States to enter World War 1, then we could say that there were mainly two. First, the interception of the Zimerman telegram by the US intelligence, in which the Germans asked Mexico to support Germany in the war. The other factor was the sinking of the Lusitania ship by the German navy, close to the waters of Britain.

Those factors made President Woodrow Wilson ask the US Congres for a declaration of war against Germany. The United States officially entered World War 1 on April 2, 1917.
