Which of these best describes Madame Loisel?
kaheart [24]

Answer:

The option that best describes Madame Loisel is:

C. Madame Loisel changes from an idealistic dreamer to a hardworking woman who shows responsibility.

Explanation:

Madame Loisel is the main character in Guy de Maupassant's short story "The Diamond Necklace". <u>At the beginning of the story, Madame Loisel is a pretty woman who happens to be utterly discontented with her life. She has great taste for fine and rich things, but she is not wealthy. Even though she does live a comfortable life and does not have to work, she wishes things were different.</u>

One night, after a party, she loses a diamond necklace she had borrowed from a wealthy friend. Believing the necklace to be a real one, she buys another to replace it with her husband's help. They end up having to work extremely hard for ten years to pay for it. <u>Madame Loisel goes from being a dreamer to being a hardworking woman. She is no longer concerned with her appearance. Survival is more important now:</u>

<u>"[...] heavy, rough, harsh, like one of the poor. Her hair untended, her skirts askew, her hands red, her voice shrill...."</u>

In the end, the necklace she lost is revealed to have been a fake one.

HELP ASAP THIS WAS DUE YESTERDAY. all u need to do is write a paragraph not an essay on whats in the images below.and ill mark u
grin007 [14]
I can help you with a rough draft; but unfortunately i don’t have access to either of the stories so i cant cite evidence. i’m assuming you can fill in some quotes to help support?

Call of the Wild is a story (based on what i word all have read) that has a lot to do with nature (?) and survival. This ties in with Darwin’s theory of natural selection since it also has to do with evolution of nature and survival and adaptation. (assuming that Call of the Wild also requires adaptation, considering most survival stories do), Call of the Wild relates a lot in how people evolve when being put in risky situations & an outdoor environment.

Ann [662]

Answer: A-Indirect characterization because unferth's beliefs about heroism is expressed to dialogue.

Explanation: Characterization is the way in which the author presents a character in a text. It can be direct, when the author uses adjectives and phrases to describe the character, or indirect, when the character's personality is revealed through its thoughts, speech, actions, etc. In the given passage we can see an example of indirect characterization, because we know some of Unferth's personality, through his thoughts and beliefs about heroism.
