9 and 10 are both correct. Number 1 A=The dots on the chart would be scattered depending on how far they drive and there last digit.
B=I know this because the higher the digit the more miles they drive. And the lower the digit the less miles they drive.
2 A= The graph would be scattered because everybody has a different amount of education years. And that does affect their income.
2 B= I know this because there are different college degrees depending on years. And the more years the more money they make.
7 and 8 I can’t answer because I can’t see the graphs!
Hope this helps!

1. a. No association/correlation.

1. b. How far they drive to work has no effect on the last digit of their phone number.

2. a. Positive association.

2. b. As the number of years of education increases, you'd expect a person's annual income to increase.

7. Positive #6.

8. None #4.

9. Positive and linear.

Write the equation of the graph obtained when the graph of y=1/x is compressed vertically by a factor of 0.25, translated 4 unit
Shtirlitz [24]

Answer: The equation is y = 0.25/(x - 4) + 3

Step-by-step explanation:

If we have a function y = f(x)

A compression means that we multiply the function by a factor smaller than 1.

Then the vertical compression by a factor of 0.25 is:

y = 0.25*f(x)

a translation by A units to the right, means that we need to valuate the function in x - A.

So now we have:

y = 0.25*f(x - 4)

A translation in the y-axis means that we need to add a constant to the equation, then if we tralate it by 3 units up, we have:

y = 0.25*f(x - A) + 3

Then, if f(x) = 1/x

Our new equation is:

y = 0.25/(x - 4) + 3

A loan of $100,000 is made today. The borrower will make equal repayments of $3568 per month with the first payment being exactl
Makovka662 [10]

Answer:

The yearly interest rate is 5.20%.

Step-by-step explanation:

This is a compound interest problem

The compound interest formula is given by:

A = P(1 + \frac{r}{n})^{nt}

In which A is the amount of money, P is the principal(the initial sum of money), r is the interest rate(as a decimal value), n is the number of times that interest is compounded per unit t and t is the time the money is invested or borrowed for.

In this problem, we have that:

The loan outstanding is the value of the loan that has not been repaid.

Here, it is $25,044.84.

To find the interest rate, we first have to find how much money the borrower will have to pay, that will be the value of A in the compound interest formula.

The total he will have to play is $25,044.84 plus the $3,568 he has already paid in each of the previous 2 years = 24 months. So:

A = 25,044.84 + 24*3,568 = 110,676.84.

P is the value of loan, so P = 100,000

r is the interest rate, the value we have to find.

We have to find the annual interest rate, so n = 1.

We found the total amount in 2 years, so t = 2.

Solving

A = P(1 + \frac{r}{n})^{nt}

110,676.84 = 100,000(1 + r)^{2}

(1 + r)^{2} = 1.1067684

To find r, i will take the square root of both sides of the equation. So

\sqrt{(1 + r)^{2}} = \sqrt{1.1067684}

1 + r = 1.0520

r = 0.0520

The yearly interest rate is 5.20%.

Miranda wants to give her 14-year-old daughter $20,000 when she turns 18. How much does she need to put in the bank now if the i
Eddi Din [679]
20,000 = P ( 1 + 0.1 )^4
20,000 = P * 1.1^4
20,000 = P * 1.461
P = 20,000 : 1.461 ≈ $13,689.25
Answer: Miranda needs to put now in the bank $13,689.25
