Answer: Famine

In the early 14th century, Europe experienced a series of famines, sometimes referred to as the Great Famine. Heavy rains in the spring of 1315 were partly responsible, along with cool temperatures. This did not allow the grain to ripen, which led to crop failures. It also meant that straw and hay could not be cured for animals, and that salt was not available because brine could not evaporate (salt was important for the preservation of food). Moreover, the population had increased very quickly prior to 1300, so there was extra pressure on the limited resources.

boyakko [2]

Answer:

Japan was seriously harmed in WWII. In the case of Japan, industrial production decreased in 1946 to 27.6% of the pre-war level, but recovered in 1951 and reached 350% in 1960. One reason for Japan's quick recovery from war trauma was the successful economic reform by the government.

What right did the English lobes game when king John signed the Magna Carta
cricket20 [7]
up with being taxed for foreign wars, the local Barons forced King John to sign a document called Magna Carta. This was the first time an English King had agreed to ‘play’ by a set of rules. It restricted what he could do and introduced ‘trial by jury’ (well, for some anyway!). Much of Magna Carta is still with us today and it formed the basis for democracy the world over

What Significance did the Cuban revolution have on US Immigration History?
alexira [117]

Answer:

Many Cubans immigrated to USA as a result of the communist revolution in Cuba.

Explanation:

This mass Cuban immigration to USA could be seen as the 2nd series of immigration of Cuban Americans to USA. The 1st series of immigration was during the 17th century when many Cubans wanted to escape the Spanish colonial  rule.

The second series of immigration was influenced by the power take over by the communists in Cuba, led by Fidel Castro and Che Guevara. The people who favored democracy and freedom escaped Cuba, most of them were Cuba's educated upper and middle class people.

Most of the Cubans came to the state of Florida and to the city of Miami.
