Which of the following is a zero does the function f (x) =(x+3) (x-7) (x+5)
Over [174]

Answer:

x=-3

Step-by-step explanation:

(x + 3)

x+3=0

-3 -3

x= -3

opposite of addition would be subtraction. since your trying to solve for x You want to get x alone and you subtract by 3 on both sides which would cancel the 3 on the left, leaving:

x =  - 3

if you follow the same process on all of them you come to the conclusion that only -3 is a zero in the options listed.

NOTE: When you become more experienced whenever you see expressions like that you'll come to realize that the zero is the opposite sign of the number if it's just x- or x+ a number.

example:

(x - 40)

it'll be the opposite sign so since it's a negative the zero of that would be positive 40.

hope this helps!

How many two digit whole numbers can be written as the sum of two different single digit whole numbers? Lots of points, and will
klio [65]

You want x+y>9. We can go about this by casework. WLOG x=9, we have 8 digits: 1-8. With x=8 we have 2-9, but we already counted 8 and we already considered the 9 case, so we have 2-7 actually, which will give us 6 numbers. With x=7, with the same logic we are only looking for the numbers 3-6 which there are 4 of. With x=6, you are looking for the numbers 4-5 which are 2. With x=5 run out of numbers to pick. The numbers are indistinguishable and it does not matter whether we use x or y so we just have to ad up the cases we already have to get: 20.

When she add the part about being a mother and the strength that involved, she was able to connect with mothers everywhere.Women's right was all about allowing women to have the rights that men had, and she uses logic by telling the audience about how both women and men were enslaved and women were able to physically keep up with the men. By explaining things the way she did she made a great case for women's rights.

(-11, -17), (2, -12)
Setler79 [48]

Answer: 280

Step-by-step explanation:

                                                  (-11 - 17) (2 - 12) = 280/1 = 280

Subtract: -11 - 17 = -28

Subtract: 2 - 12 = -10

Multiple: the result of step No. 1 * the result of step No. 2 = -28 * (-10) = 280
