Flooding on rivers is caused by human activity rather than natural events. Please select the best answer from the choices provid
Drupady [299]

The correct answer is - F (False).

Floodings are mostly caused by natural events and not by human activity. Most of the floodings appear due to have rainfalls when the rivers get much more water that the capacity of their respective riverbed, nice example of this is when the rivers in India are flooding because of the heavy rainfalls brought by the monsoons. Also, another important factor are the melting snows in the mountains in spring, the snow turns into huge amount of water that makes the rivers flood. There's also some interesting and beezar reasons for flooding like the dams of the beavers which partially stop the river flow and contribute to big accumulation of water that is flooding the space before the beaver dam.

melisa1 [442]

Answer:

As explained below.

Explanation:

  • The composition of the atmosphere is about 80% of nitrogen and is 20% of oxygen by mass.
  • At a height of more than 20 kilometers above the surface of the earth this pressure decrease as the gases are attracted to gravity and thus decrease in air molecules at the height above or beyond this layer as the region of mixing ends.
  • Layers above the 30 kilometers are cool and temperature inversion occurs with a low density of air. If assuming the temperature to be fixed at the 25 degrees the pressure with atmosphere gaining height would still not change as rarefying of air particles and only the presence of earth's magnetic field.
  • As it will keep on getting thinner and thinner and merge into outer space.

Read the article and write one page arguing whether you think the European
Alexxx [7]

Answer:

I believe that The European Union is a good thing because in times of war, the countries most likely will not go to war against each other, and also because it allows the countries in the EU to become iron allies,  which could prove useful in both war and times of hardship. Speaking of hardship, if any of the countries in the EU is faced with hardship or a hard decision, that country can ask the other countries in the European Union for help or for advice. And, if anybody in one of the nations within the EU travels to another country that is in the EU can use the same form of money, without the worry of having to convert it to the type of money that is used there, because every country in the European Union uses the same type of currency, the euro. For instance, if someone in, say, France, travels to maybe Greece for vacation, then that person could use the same form of money in Greece as used in France, which is a big worry taken off the mind. Plus, it gives the countries reasons why not to go to war over each other, and so they countries probably won't go to war against each other for a small reason, such as a steel mine or the sort. The European Union lets the citizens of the countries in the EU have freedom and human dignity, which is more than most countries have to offer to their citizens. The EU is a surprisingly good method of maintaining peace in the European countries, or, at least for the ones in the EU, such as Belgium, Germany, Greece, or Italy. So, in conclusion, I believe that the European Union is a good thing, for many reasons.
