Let the two numbers be 'x' and 'y'.

As given in the question,

y = 2x

Now,

4 + x = y - 6

4 + x = 2x - 6

4 + 6 = 2x - x

10 = x

Therefore the two numbers are:

x = 10

y = 2x = 20
