Answer:

32.85 sec.

Explanation:

for the car to travel 0.48km it takes 0.48/52.6 hr. because you see if the car were to move 52.6km in one hr you can write it as 52.6/52.6 hrs or rather 1hr.

we know it takes \frac{0.48}{52.6} hr to travel 0.48km. this is in hours. if we want to convert hours into seconds, we should multiply by 60. and again by 60.

if we multiply by 60 we get the time in minutes( 60 min is 1 hr) and if you multiply that with 60 again we get the answer in seconds.

(0.48/52.6) x 60 x 60 = 32.85 seconds.

2. Think about the energy that was needed to form the wave in the pool. Where did the energy come from?
patriot [66]
Wave energy is actually a concentrated form of solar power generated by the action of the wind blowing across the surface of the oceans water which can then be used as a renewable source of energy. As the suns rays strike the Earth's atmosphere, they warm it up.

During wich two time intervals does the particle undergo equal displacement
sweet-ann [11.9K]
Basically, you want to take the integral of each interval and compare them. The two intervals with the same integral represent equal displacement of the particle. And since delta(x) is always 2, all you have to do is average the initial and final velocities of each interval and multiply by two to find total displacement.

Hope it helped.

Edit to show calculations:

2 * [ (0 + 10)/2 ] = 10 for interval AB
2 * [ (7 + 3)/2 ] = 10 for interval DE

If the kinetic energy of a given mass is to be doubled, its speed must be multiplied by
Tomtit [17]

Answer:

Either B or D. The answer itself is 2.

Explanation:

The equation for the kinetic energy would be 1/2*mv^2.

When m is doubled, we can plug in 1 and 2 to compare our answers.

Plugging in 1 for mass would give us the answer 1/2*v^2.

Plugging in 2 for mass would give us v^2. This means that the velocity was multiplied by 2, meaning that the answer is it is multiplied by 2.

I am not sure which answer is correct since there seems to be two answer choices with 2 in it, but the answer is either B or D (I will call it ABCD because I do not want to cause confusion by saying 2 multiple times).
