The last one.

Similar means the triangles are same shape but different size and congruent is exactly the same triangles, but maybe different location (rotation, reflection…)

If ghj=lmk with a scale factore of 5:6 find perimeter of ghj
jeyben [28]

Perimeter of the triangle GHJ is 35cm.

<h3>What is perimeter?</h3>

A perimeter is a closed path that includes, encircles, or delineates a one-dimensional length or a shape with two dimensions.

The perimeter's units are equal to the sides of a polygon's length.

Given Data

The perimeter of a triangle is, by definition, the total length of its sides.

Next, the triangle LMK's perimeter is:

ΔLMK = 14+ 11 + 17

ΔLMK = 42

The perimeter of the triangle LMK must be multiplied by the scale factor if both triangles are congruent and the scale factor is 5:6 (which can be written as a fraction: \frac{5}{6}).

Next, you have that the triangle GHJ perimeter is:

ΔGHJ = 4(\frac{5}{6})

ΔGHJ = 35

Perimeter of the triangle GHJ is 35cm.

Triangle hjk is an isosceles triangle. The measures of angles j and k are equal. The measure of angle h is 100 degrees. How do y
WITCHER [35]
Every triangle has a total of 180 degrees. If one angle measure is 100, then 180-100 is 80. This means that the other two angle measures have a total of 80. As angle j and k are equal, we divide 80 by 2, to get 40. This means that the measure of both angle j and k is 40 degrees. The measure of angle j is 40 degrees.

You put $600 in an account with a simple interest rate of 2.5%. How long does it take for the account to earn $45?
MA_775_DIABLO [31]

Answer:

3\ years

Step-by-step explanation:

we know that

The simple interest formula is equal to

A=P(1+rt)

where

A is the Final Investment Value

P is the Principal amount of money to be invested

r is the rate of interest

t is Number of Time Periods

in this problem we have

t=?\ years\\ P=\$600\\ A=\$600+\$45=\$645\\r=0.025

substitute in the formula above  and solve for t

645=600(1+0.025t)

t=[(645/600)-1]/0.025=3\ years

1/3 ( x - 10) = -4 ???
Pepsi [2]

Answer:

x =  - 2

Step-by-step explanation:

1) Simplify 1/3 ( x - 10) to x-10/3.

\frac{x - 10}{3}  =  - 4

2) Multiply both sides by 3.

x - 10 =  - 4 \times 3

Simplify 4 × 3 to 12.

x - 10 =  - 12

4) Add 10 to both sides.

x =  - 12 + 10

5) Simplify -12 + 10 to -2.

x =  - 2

So, therefor, the answer is, x = -2.

What does it mean by "completing the square" and how do u do it?
faust18 [17]
Completing the square goes back to pythagorean thm
but the way u do it, u want to find a value that enable u to take sqrt of both sides and solve
x^2-8x+3=0
x^2-8x=-3
we need (x-4)^2 so add 16
(x-4)^2=-3+16
(x-4)^2=13
x-4=sqrt13
x=4(+/-)sqrt13
