Answer:

The number of beads Emery uses to calculate how many 4 necklaces and 7 bracelets are 152 beads.

Step-by-step explanation:

This is a simultaneous equation.

let's make n the number of necklaces, and b the number of bracelets.

8n + 3b = 172. 1st equation

1n + 5b = 77. 2nd equation.

you have to make one of the Bs or the Ns the same.

I chose B. it doesn't matter which side you choose.

40n + 15b =860. I multiplied by 5

3n + 15b =231. I multiplied by 3

then you subtract. because the signs are the same.

40n - 3n = 37n, 15n - 15n = 0, 860 - 231 = 629

37n =629. we divide both sides by 37

n = 17. one necklace has a total of 17 beads.

we substitute to find the number of bracelets (b).

choose any of the 1st or 2nd equations.

1n + 5b = 77

(17) + 5b = 77

5b = 77- 17

5b = 60

b = 12. one bracelet has a total of 12 beads.

NOW: find how many beads Emery uses to calculate how many 4 necklaces and 7 bracelets.

equation: 4n + 7b = ?

4(17) + 7(12) = 152

which means there are 152 beads.

YOU SHOULD BE GRATEFUL. :D

The formula for perimeter is 2L + 2W and the formula for the area is L * W, since we don't know the width we will divide 35:7 = 5 and he the measurement for the width.

Now just add L + W = 12 and multiply by 2 the answer is 24
Or 2 * 7 + 2 * 5 = 24

The order of magnitude for total attended for a high school football team that averages 1,000 fans for each of its 5 home games
Tatiana [17]

The order of magnitude for total attended for a high school football team is 3

How to determine the order of magnitude?

The given parameters are:

Average number of fan = 1000

Number of home games = 5

The total number of fans in the 5 games is:

Total number of fans = Average number of fan * Number of home games

Substitute known values in the above equation

Total number of fans = 1000 * 5

Express 1000 as 10^3

Total number of fans = 10^3 * 5

Rewrite the equation as:

Total number of fans = 5 * 10^3

The power of 10 represents the order of magnitude

Since the power of 10 is 3, the order of magnitude is 3

Hence, the order of magnitude for total attended for a high school football team that averages 1,000 fans for each of its 5 home games is 3
