The answer is A. This is because, in a new environment, mostly of new bare rock can only support plants such as algae and moss (pioneer species). However, as they weather the rocks and soil begin to form, plants such as pteridophytes (ferns) begin to emerge. Eventually, when the soil is deep enough, higher plants such as shrubs and grass emerge and over time trees can grow.

Describe how each of these 4 processes can affect salinity. Are they increasing or decreasing the salinity?
Charra [1.4K]

Iceberg: The formation of icebergs increases salinity because it is taking liquid water out of the ocean without taking the salt.

Sea Ice: Same as icebergs, this increases salinity because it removes liquid water.

Runoff: This decreases salinity because it is introducing fresh water into the ocean, reducing the salt to water ratio.

Evaporation: This would increase salinity because it is removing liquid water from the ocean, increasing the salt to water ratio.

Hope this helps!

Watson and Crick first built a triple-helix model of DNA. In this model, the nitrogenous bases were on the outside of the DNA mo
Sedaia [141]

Because it makes accessing them easier for the cell, it is assumed that the bases will be on the outside of the DNA molecule.

What is DNA molecule?

 • Because the two DNA strands are made up of simpler monomeric units termed nucleotides, they are referred to as polynucleotides.
 • Each nucleotide is made up of a phosphate group, a deoxyribose sugar, and one of the four nitrogen-containing nucleobases (cytosine [C], guanine [G], adenine [A], or thymine [T]).
 • An alternating sugar-phosphate backbone is created when the nucleotides are linked together in a chain by covalent connections (also referred to as the phospho-diester linkage) between the sugar of one nucleotide and the phosphate of the next.
 • To create double-stranded DNA, the nitrogenous bases of the two distinct polynucleotide strands are joined by hydrogen bonds in accordance with the base pairing principles (A with T and C with G). Pyrimidines and purines make up the two families of complimentary nitrogenous bases.

WINSTONCH [101]

Answer:

That scrape on our knee will never heal and the blood loss due to bleeding will never be replaced. This is because RNA is inside of cells and without the ability to create new RNA you cannot replace missing cells. So the scrape will never heal if your cells cannot create new RNA.
