What are some background information about tobacco During the Colombian exchange?
ZanzabumX [31]

Answer:In Europe before 1492, tobacco was not recognized and initially had a negative reputation. The early Spanish explorers saw the usage of tobacco by natives as evidence of their barbarism. But Europeans took up the practice of smoking and transported it over the Atlantic.

Explanation:In religious rites, Native Americans utilized tobacco in particular. Europeans were interested in the plant after 1492 and the start of the Columbian Exchange. It became the largest export crop for the Virginia Company, opening the door for more recreational tobacco.
