Therefore:-

angle 6 = angle 7

Assume that both lines are parallel, we can say that angle 6 = angle 2

Since angle 6 = angle 2 and angle 2 = angle 3 via cross-intersect, that means angle 6 = angle 3 as well. angle 6 = angle 3 is alternate interior angle theorem.

Thus:- angle 7, 2 and 3 both are congruent

< 6 is congruent to < 7 because they are vertical angles. Also, < 6 is congruent to < 2 because they are corresponding angles (< 6 is interior and < 2 is exterior — they are corresponding angles on the same side of the transversal).
