The figure shows secants LH and and tangent J intersecting at point L. AHIL is a right triangle. Find m/HLJ, which is
exis [7]

The values of x and y from the given diagram are 47 ad 86 degrees respectively

Circle theorem

From the given circle, the triangle HJL is a right triangle.

Determine the value of y

43 = 1/2 <y

<y = 43 * 2

<y = 86 degrees

Since the sum of angle on a straight line is 180 degrees, such that;

x+90+43 = 180

x + 133 = 180

x = 47 degrees

Hence the values of x and y from the given diagram are 47 ad 86 degrees respectively

A particle sits on a smooth surface and is acted upon by a time dependent horizontal force, giving it an
garik1379 [7]

(a) By the fundamental theorem of calculus,

v(t) = v(0) + ∫₀ᵗ a(u) du

The particle starts at rest, so v(0) = 0. Computing the integral gives

v(t) = [2/3 u ³ + 2u ²]₀ᵗ = 2/3 t ³ + 2t ²

(b) Use the FTC again, but this time you want the distance, which means you need to integrate the speed of the particle, i.e. the absolute value of v(t). Fortunately, for t ≥ 0, we have v(t) ≥ 0 and |v(t) | = v(t), so speed is governed by the same function. Taking the starting point to be the origin, after 8 seconds the particle travels a distance of

∫₀⁸ v(u) du = ∫₀⁸ (2/3 u ³ + 2u ²) du = [1/6 u ⁴ + 2/3 u ³]₀⁸ = 1024

What is the total amount of fabric needed to make the tent with the following dimensions?
lesantik [10]
I’m just guessing that it’s asking for surface area, since fabric doesn’t fully fill an object.

I kind of forgot about surface area so this isn’t going to be 100% accurate, but I believe that you multiply the base by the other numbers.
For example, you get the base of the side, 6 ft. , and you multiply it by the height, which gives 24. Then, you multiply it by 2, since there’s two sides.

Then you do 6x5 (30), and so on and so forth.

(I’m so sorry if I’m wrong, I haven’t really done area or surface area in a while lol)
