Being underweight can make it hard to feel like doing anything. Because the body is not getting enough calories it may even make you feel tired all the time. Being Underweight raises your risk for serious health problems. Women can have a low, but still a healthy weight. “But if you have experienced sudden weight loss or are not eating enough to keep your body working, you may develop serious health problems.”

Can you die if you are underweight? No. Unlikely, will you die from being underweight. However, being underweight can lead to a lot of serious health issues like previously stated. Here is a list of issues that a person who is underweight can face: dizziness, or fatigue from anemia, fragile bones, hair loss, irregular menstrual periods, problems getting pregnant, poor growth and development, especially in children who are underweight, weak immune system, etc

Being underweight is not good for you. It can leave you with low energy and affect your immune system. You may be missing out on important vitamins and minerals like calcium and iron, which you need to grow and develop. If you’re underweight, it can also affect how your hormones work, aka irregular periods.

What can I do if I’m underweight? You can increase your calorie intake by focusing on good sources of grains, healthy fats, and protein. Eat more frequently. When you’re underweight, you may feel full faster. Eat five to six smaller meals during the day rather than the average two or three large meals. Doing some exercise can increase your appetite. Replacing tea or coffee with milky drinks. Using healthy fats like olive oil or avocado.
