Can Computers Create Art? Part 1

Jul 23, 2018·9 min read

This is the first part of a series of posts on the topic of whether computers can create art, adapted from my longer essay on that topic. For lessons from the past about AI and art, perhaps no invention is more significant than photography. This first essay addresses the question: How did photography become respected as an art form, and what lessons does this hold for new artistic AI technologies?

Prior to the invention of photography, realistic images of the world could only be produced by skilled artists. In today’s world, we are so swamped with images that it is hard to imagine just how special and unique it must have felt to see a well-executed realistic painting. And the skills of professional artists had steadily improved over the centuries; by the 19th-century, artists such as the Pre-Rafaelites and the French Neoclassicists have achieved dazzling visual realism in their work.

The technical skills of realism were inseparable from the other creative challenges in making images. This changed when photography automated the task of producing images of the real world.

Answer:

Nicéphore Niépce is the father of photography.  In around 1816. Niépce became interested in the new technique of lithography and began to explore ways of using light sensitive materials to produce images directly on to the printing plate or stone. The first successful photo was taken in 1826. Niépce used his heliography process to capture the first photograph but was soon overshadowed by the invention of daguerreotype. The place of the shot was taken in Niépce's estate in Burgundy.

Hope this helps!

one of the major debates at the constitutional convention was between delegates who wanted a strong federal government and other
kherson [118]

The Articles of confederation was considered to be weak and ineffectual so, Constitutional convention decided to transform it.

Federalists, who were strong supporters of the constitution deliberated that incorporation of Bill of rights would stand to be a barrier which would give a vague representation of the constitution. However after great deliberations they conceded to incorporate Bill of rights which were a series of amendments and this decision was to appease the anti-federalists who recommended the inclusion of Bill of rights. Federalists supported for the strong federal Government which has the power to raise an army, impose taxes and execute laws.

Anti-federalists fought for strong state governments as they were apprehended that the constitution may carry an element of despotism which was during the British rule and hence asked for representation of states.

Finally, the founding fathers concluded that each small state has a vote and they can form the senate and big states were given two votes and they were eligible to form the lower house. Thus the final outline of the Constitution was formed.

_____ consists of a person's characteristic patterns of behaving, thinking, and feeling.
Damm [24]

At its maximum basic, personality is the characteristic patterns of thoughts, emotions, and behaviors that make a person unique.

Whilst we are saying that someone has a "properly persona" we mean that they may be likable, interesting, and nice to be with. all of us desire to be attractive to others. To that end, having an awesome personality is vital - probably even more so than true looks.

The four temperament concept is a proto-mental theory that suggests that there are 4 fundamental personality sorts: sanguine, choleric, melancholic, and phlegmatic.

Action words that describe your character: a number of those phrases include savvy, threat-taker, observant, lively, creative, and organized. Others include brave, honest, pushed, end result-oriented, advantageous, orderly, methodical, and adventurous, among others.
