The following are neutral salts: NANO3, BaBr2 AND Ba[OH]2.
Neutral salts are those salts that are formed when a strong base react with a strong acid. In those neutralization reactions, the base completely neutralize the acid to form a neutral salts.

The following are neutral salts: NANO3, BaBr2, AND Ba[OH]2.

Further Explanation

Salt is an ionic compound consisting of positive ions (cations) and negative ions (anions), thus forming neutral (without charged) compounds. The most common and widely used salt is NaCl salt, a white crystalline solid.

Salt is formed as a result of acid and base reactions. Salt that is hydrolyzed and forms hydroxide ions when dissolved in water is called base salt. Salt that is hydrolyzed and forms hydronium ions in water is called an acid salt. Neutral salt is salt that is neither acid salt nor basic salt.

Salts derived from strong acids and strong bases are usually stable and odorless, while salts formed from weak acids or weak bases have more odor.

Salt hydrolysis only occurs IF one or both of the components of the salt are weak acids and or weak bases.

The salt solution is a solution obtained from the results of acid and base reactions.

The properties of salt, as follows:

  • Able to conduct electric current,
  • does not change the color of litmus red or blue.
  • If it is formed from strong acids and weak bases, then the salt will be acidic. and conversely, if formed from weak acids and strong bases, the salt will be alkaline.
  • When formed from strong acids and strong bases, the salt will be neutral, for example, table salt (NaCl).
  • Has a pH of 7

consider the titration of hclo4 with koh. what is the ph after 17.0 ml of 0.15 m koh has been added to 15 ml of 0.20 m hclo4?
bezimeni [28]

The ph after 17.0 ml of 0.15 m Koh has been added to 15 ml of 0.20 m hclo4 is 3.347.

Titration is a commonplace laboratory technique of quantitative chemical analysis to determine the attention of an identified analyte. A reagent, termed the titrant or titrator, is ready as a trendy answer of recognized awareness and extent.

Calculation:-

Normality of acid Normality of base

= nMV nMV

= 1 × 0. 15 × 0.017 1 × 0. 20 ×0.015 L

= 2.55 × 10⁻³ = 3 × 10⁻³

The overall base will be high

net concentration = 3× 10⁻³ - 2.55 × 10⁻³

                             = 0.45 × 10⁻³

                             = 4.5× 10⁻⁴

pH = -log[4.5 × 10⁻⁴]

    = 4 - log4.4

     = 3.347

A titration is defined as 'the manner of determining the amount of a substance A by using adding measured increments of substance B, the titrant, with which it reacts till precise chemical equivalence is completed the equivalence factor.

Compound A is an alkene that was treated with ozone to yield only (CH3CH2CH2)2C=O. Draw the major product that is expected when
DochEvi [55]

Answer:

2,2,3,3-tetrapropyloxirane

Explanation:

In this case, we have to know first the alkene that will react with the peroxyacid. So:

What do we know about the unknown alkene?

We know the product of the ozonolysis reaction (see figure 1). This reaction is an oxidative rupture reaction. Therefore, the double bond will be broken and we have to replace the carbons on each side of the double bond by oxygens. If (CH_3CH_2CH_2)_2C=O is the only product we will have a symmetric molecule in this case 4,5-dipropyloct-4-ene.

What is the product with the peroxyacid?

This compound in the presence of alkenes will produce peroxides. Therefore we have to put a peroxide group in the carbons where the double bond was placed. So, we will have as product 2,2,3,3-tetrapropyloxirane. (see figure 2)
