Sara travels twice as far as Eliot when going to camp. henry travels as far as Sara and Eliot together. Jordan travels time as f
ozzi

Answer:

Eliot = 10 miles

Sara = 20 miles

Henry = 30 miles

Jordan = 60 miles

Completed question;

Sara travels twice as far as Eliot when going to camp. henry travels as far as Sara and Eliot together. Jordan travels 3 times as far as Sara. In total, all four travel 120 miles to camp. How far does each of them travel

Step-by-step explanation:

Let x,y,z,w represent the distance travelled by Eliot, sara, henry and jordan respectively.

In total, all four travel 120 miles to camp;

x+y+z+w = 120 ........1

Sara travels twice as far as Eliot when going to camp;

y = 2x ........2

henry travels as far as Sara and Eliot together;

z = x + y = x + 2x = 3x (Substitute eqn 2)

z = 3x ......3

Jordan travels time as far as Sara;

w = 3y = 3(2x) = 6x

w = 6x ......4

Substituting equation 2,3,4 into 1

x+y+z+w = 120

x + 2x + 3x + 6x = 120

12x = 120

x = 120/12 = 10 miles

From equation 2

y = 2x = 2(10) = 20 miles

From equation 3;

z = 3x = 3(10) = 30 miles

From equation 4;

w = 6x = 6(10) = 60 miles

Therefore;

Eliot = 10 miles

Sara = 20 miles

Henry = 30 miles

Jordan = 60 miles

WHO IS GREAT AT MATH!!! PLEASEE HELPP MEE IN MATH WITH THIS PROBLEM PLEASEEE!!!! I need assistance!!! WILL BE MARKING BRAINLIEST
trasher [3.6K]

Answer:

x=32, y=36, and z=25

Step-by-step explanation:

There are only two sums the equations can all add up to, 67 degrees and 113 degrees. I know that to the equation with x is equal to 67 degrees.

2x+3=67

2x=64 (subtract 3)

x=32 (divide by 2)

Now to find the measurement of the other angle, we subtract 180 and 67 since the measurement of a line is 180 degrees.

180-67=113

The equations of y and z are both equal to 113.

3y+5=113                                 4z+13=113

3y=108 (subtract 5)                 4z=100 (subtract 13)

y=36 (divide by 3)                   z=25 (divide by 4)

If the place these marbles in a bag close your eyes and choose a marble what is the probability that it will be pink?
Sveta_85 [38]

Answer:

3/14

Step-by-step explanation:

There are 14 marbles, 5 are yellow, 6 are blue, and 3 are pink. You have a 5/14 chance to get a yellow marble, a 6/14 chance to get a blue marble, and a 3/14 chance to get a pink marble.

I hope that this helps :)
