There are multiple correct answers but disease was the most common answer, and there are plenty of reasons why.

<em>Disease- </em>This was one of the biggest problems at the time seeing as they didn't have common medical knowledge as we do now. They had no idea how to treat most of these problems and if they were spreadable that did not help as the rich would gather together much more and contaminate their germs.
