Plug in x and y and see if it’s true.
-36=-4x6-12 is true then the first pair is good.
0=6x2-12 is true then the second pair is good too.
The last pair doesn’t satisfy the equation
17 is not equal to 6x5-12

Transversal t cuts parallel lines a and b as shown in the diagram. Which equation is necessarily true? a) m<1=m<2 b)m<4
lara31 [8.8K]
If the numbering of the angles is similar to this:
1 | 2
-----
3 | 4
5 | 6
----
7 | 8

Then none of the the choices are necessarily true.

The equations would have been:
1 = 4 = 5 = 8
2 = 3 = 6 = 7
3 + 5 = 4 + 6 = 180

A pecan pie is being served for dessert. One piece of pie has an arc length of 7.85 in. It has been cut into 8 equal pieces. Wha
grin007 [14]

Answer:

The radius of the pie is 6.17 in.

Step-by-step explanation:

The formula for arc length as a function of radius is

s = r·Ф, where Ф is the central angle in radians.

Here we know that the arc length is 7.85 in. Assuming that the whole pie has been cut into 8 equal pieces, the central angle of one such piece is

2π / 8, or π /4 (radians).

thus, s = r·Ф, solved for r, is r = s/Ф

and in this instance r = (7.85 in)/(π/4). Evaluating this, we get:

                                 r = 6.17 in

The radius of the pie is 6.17 in.

Express the following numbers in standard form. [A] 509.78 [B] 0.0289 Can someone please help me ? I need to answer that questio
STALIN [3.7K]

Answer:

(A) 509.78

We need to move the decimal point after the first non-zero digit

So,

=> 5.0978 × 10² (Since the decimal point is moved two places to the left)

(B) 0.0289

Again after the first non-zero digit:

So, it becomes:

=> 2.89 × 10⁻² (Since the decimal point is moved 2 places to the right so it will be negative also)
