Answer:

See step by step explanation

Step-by-step explanation:

Talia has a daily budget of $94 for a car rental. Write and solve an inequality to find the greatest distance Talia can drive ea
MariettaO [177]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Distance traveled by Talia = x

Cost for travelling 'x' miles = x * 0.20 = 0.2x

Daily budget = $94

Inequality,

30 + 0.2x ≤ 94

Solution:

0.2x ≤ 94 - 30

0.2x ≤ 64        {Divide both sides by 0.2

   x ≤ 64/0.2

 x ≤ 320

Please help!! I don’t get it
Marrrta [24]

Answer:

Each hotdog costs $1.65

Each juice drink costs $1.05

Step-by-step explanation:

Let's begin by letting x represent the number of hot dogs and y the number of juice drinks.

The Baxter family bought 6 hot dogs and 4 juices for $14.10.

6x + 4y = 14.10

The Farley family bought 3 hot dogs and 4 juices for $9.15.

3x + 4y = 9.15

Now, we subtract these equations.

6x + 4y = 14.10\\- (3x + 4y = 9.15)

Since y has reversed coefficients, it gets eliminated. Now solve for x.

6x+4y-3x-4y=14.1-9.15\\3x = 4.95\\\frac{3x}{3} = \frac{4.95}{3}

\frac{4.95}{3} = 1.65

x = 1.65

NOW, we find y by substituting x with 1.65 (in either equation).

We'll use the first equation.

6x + 4y = 14.10

6(1.65) + 4y = 14.10

9.9 + 4y = 14.10\\4y = 14.1 - 9.9\\4y = 4.2

\frac{4y}{4} = \frac{4.2}{4} \\y = 1.05

x = 1.65

y = 1.05

x represents hotdogs and y represents juice drinks.

Therefore, each hotdog costs $1.65 and each juice drink costs $1.05.

<em> I hope this helps! :)</em>

The areas of two similar triangles are 72dm2 and 50dm2. The sum of their perimeters is 226dm. What is the perimeter of each of t
zloy xaker [14]

Answer:

103=  p small

plarge = 123

Step-by-step explanation:

We know that the the ratio of the areas is the scale factor squared/

Larger triangle over smaller triangle

72

----- = scale factor ^2

50

simplify by dividing by 2 on top and bottom

36

----- = scale factor ^2

25

Take the square root of each side

sqrt(36)

-------------- = sqrt(scale factor ^2)

sqrt(25)

6

-------------- = scale factor

5

The ratio of the perimeters is the scale factor

p large             6

-------------- = ----------------

 p small                5

Using cross products

6 p large = 5 p small

We know the sum is 226

p large + p small = 226

p large = 226 - p small

We have 2 equation and 2 unknowns

6 p large = 5 p small

Substitute for p large

6 (226 - p small) = 5 p small

1356 - 6 p small = 5 p small

Add 6 p small to each side

1356 = 11 p small

divide by 11

1356/11 =  p small

P large = 226-1356/11

p large = 2486/11-1356/11

plarge = 1130/11

The solution requires whole number answers so

1356/11 =  p small

123.27 which rounds to 123

plarge = 1130/11

plarge = 102.7272 = 103

Mickey tosses a coin 50 times and records 27 heads. Based on these results, what is the probability if
JulijaS [17]

The probability of getting three tails in three tosses When Mickey tosses a coin 50 times and records 27 heads is 12,167:125,000.

<h3>What is probability of an event?</h3>

It is the ratio in an event of the number of favorable outcome to the total number of outcome of that event.

As the probability of an event can not be more than the number 1. Thus, he probability of failure of a event is equal to the difference of the 1 to the success of the event.

Mickey tosses a coin 50 times and records 27 heads. Thus, the probability of getting a head is,

P=\dfrac{27}{50}\\

The probability of not getting a head or getting a tail is,

P^{-1}=1-\dfrac{27}{50}\\P^{-1}=\dfrac{50-27}{50}\\P^{-1}=\dfrac{23}{50}

Now, Mickey tosses the same coin three more times. The probability of getting three tails in these tosses are,

P_{3t}=\dfrac{23}{50}\times\dfrac{23}{50}\times\dfrac{23}{50}\\P_{3t}=\dfrac{12167}{125000}

Thus, the probability of getting three tails in three tosses When Mickey tosses a coin 50 times and records 27 heads is 12,167:125,000.
