Answer: 3

Explanation:

You gotta use PEMDAS jit!! it stands for Parenthesis , Exponents , Multiplication, Division, Addition, Subtraction if u dont know. This is the order you're supposed to solve equations. so that means you have to solve the equation inside da parenthesis.

(5+3) = 8

now its just -5 + 8 and thats equals 3.

btw u better be 5th grader or sum cuz this is the easiest shi ever

The spoke of a wheel reaches from the center of the wheel to its rim. If the circumference of the rim of the wheel is 42 inches,
Damm [24]
To get the length of a spoke, you would divide 42 by pi (giving you diameter), then divide that number by 2 (to get the radius). (42/pi)/2=6.68
This is your answer.

I hope this helps!

Find the mean and standard deviation for the set of data.
dem82 [27]

The mean and standard deviation for the set of data will be 16 and 5.87. Then the correct option is A.

<h3>What is a standard deviation?</h3>

It is the measure of the dispersion of statistical data. Dispersion is the extent to which the value is in a variation.

The set of data is given below.

16, 22, 8, 5, 20, 18, 14, 17, 24

The mean of the data set will be

μ = (16 + 22 + 8 + 5 + 20 + 18 + 14 + 17 + 24) / 9

μ = 144 / 9

μ = 16

Then the standard deviation of the data set will be

\rm \sigma = \sqrt{\dfrac{\Sigma (x_i - \mu)^2}{n}} \\\sigma = \sqrt{\dfrac{(16 - 16)^2 +(22 - 16)^2 + (8-16)^2 + ......+(24-16)^2  }{9}} \\\sigma = \sqrt{\dfrac{310}{9}}\\

Simplify the expression further, then we have

σ = √34.44

σ = 5.87

The mean and standard deviation for the set of data will be 16 and 5.87.

Then the correct option is A.

More about the standard deviation link is given below.

If a data set has 16 data values,the number of values in the upper quartile is
wolverine [178]

Answer:

4 because a quartile is really one fourth of the entire amount and if the entire amount is 16, the upper quartile will consist of 4 values. This was arrived at by simply finding 1/4 of 16 or by dividing 16 by 4.
