Home Games:

You know the mean number of goals scored (in a game) is 2.5.

Add up the total number of home game goals scored:

    9 + 6 + 8 + 7 = 30

This means the 30 goals ÷ the number of home games = 2.5

Solve 30/x=2.5 to find that x=12.  30/12 = 2.5

Away Games:

Repeat the same process, but use the info for away games:

     2 + 7 + 4 + 5 = 18

18 goald ÷ number of away games = 1.8

Solve 18/x = 1.8 to find x=10.  18/10 = 1.8

Answer:

2 games total

Step-by-step explanation:

If i understand right you are supposed to count how many games were played in which case you would see there are 4 quarters, which is one game and then the home, and away game, giving you two games. Hope that helps!

Answer:

C. 54π + 20.25√3 cm²

Step-by-step explanation:

The shaded area can be split into two areas: a sector and an isosceles triangle.

Area of a sector is:

A = (θ/360°) πr²

where θ is the central angle and r is the radius.

Area of an isosceles triangle can be found with SAS formula:

A = ½ ab sin θ

where a and b are two sides of a triangle and θ is the angle between them.

In this case, r = a = b = 9 cm.  The central angle of the sector is 240°, and the vertex angle of the triangle is 120°.  Therefore, the total area is:

A = (240°/360°) π (9 cm)² + ½ (9 cm) (9 cm) sin 120°

A = 54π + 20.25√3 cm²

Three people need to peel 1000 potatoes working together. Stacey starts at 2 PM peeling 20 potatoes per hour. Rob starts at 3 PM
Mademuasel [1]

Answer:

They would be done by 2 :  18 AM

Step-by-step explanation:

Key Information:

- Stacey starts at 2 PM peeling 20 potatoes per hour

- Rob starts at 3 PM peeling 30 potatoes per hour

- James starts at 4 PM peeling 40 potatoes per hour

At 5pm;

Stacy would have worked for 3 hours and would have peeled ( 3 * 20 = 60 potatoes)

Rob would have worked for 2 hours and would have peeled ( 2 * 30 = 60 potatoes)

James would have worked for an hour and would have peeled ( 1 * 40 = 40 potatoes)

Total number of potatoes peeled at 5pm = 60 + 60 + 40 = 160 potatoes

Potatoes left = 1000 - 160 = 840 potatoes.

The new peeling rate for three of them combined is (20 + 30+ 40 ) = 90 potatoes per hour.

Rate = potatoes left / time;

Time = Potatoes / Rate

Time = 840 / 90 = 9.3 hours = 9 hours 18 minutes

Total time taken = 9 hours 18 minutes + 3 hours = 12 hours 18 minutes

They would be done by 2 :  18 AM
