Hello there! :)

The Distributive property states:

a(b+c)=ab+ac

So, we know what a is. It's 5.

b=3

c=0.4

5(3+0.4)

5*3+5*0.4

15+0.2

15.2

Hope it helps!

TIMED QUESTION NEED HELP FASTWhat values of b satisfy 3(2b + 3)2 = 36?
egoroff_w [7]

Answer:

\frac{-3+ 2\sqrt{3}}{2}\textrm{ and }\frac{-3- 2\sqrt{3}}{2}

Step-by-step explanation:

3(2b+3)^{2}=36\\\frac{3(2b+3)^{2}}{3}=\frac{36}{3}\\(2b+3)^{2}=12

Taking square root both sides, we get

\sqrt{(2b+3)^{2}}=\pm \sqrt{12}\\2b+3=\pm \sqrt{4\times 3}\\2b+3=\pm 2\sqrt{3}\\2b+3-3=\pm 2\sqrt{3}-3\\2b=-3\pm 2\sqrt{3}\\b=\frac{-3\pm 2\sqrt{3}}{2}\\b=\frac{-3+ 2\sqrt{3}}{2}\textrm{ or }b=\frac{-3- 2\sqrt{3}}{2}

Therefore, the values of b are:

\frac{-3+ 2\sqrt{3}}{2}\textrm{ and }\frac{-3- 2\sqrt{3}}{2}

Answer:

<h2>P = 48</h2><h2>A = 144 </h2>

Step-by-step explanation:

The formula of regular polygon with <em>n</em> sides of length <em>b</em> and apothem <em>a</em>:

A=\dfrac{nba}{2}

We have:

n = 6

b = 8

a = 6

Substitute:

A=\dfrac{(6)(8)(6)}{2}=144

The perimeter:

P=6b\to P=(6)(8)=48

Last Question

Because this may not be the question you want, I'll omit the first step which should be done with latex. The key to all of these except C is to invert the second fraction (turn the second fraction upside down) and multiply.

A

\dfrac{6}{5} * \dfrac{-2}{3}

=(6*-2) / (5*3) = - 12/15 = -4/5

B

\dfrac{7}{4} *\dfrac{5}{3}

= (7*5) / (4*3) = 35 / 12 = 2 11/12

C

Impossible to do 4/0 cannot be done.

D

\dfrac{-2}{3} /\dfrac{-5}{4}=\dfrac{-2}{3} *\dfrac{-4}{5}

= (-2*-4)/(3*5) =

8/15
