Solve for x: -2x - 3 > 97
DENIUS [597]
To solve for x, we need to get it on one side by itself, and then to make sure we are left with ONLY x, no coefficients or anything.
-2x -3 > 97.
Add 3 to both sides.
-2x > 100.
Divide both sides by -2 (remember to flip the inequality when dealing with negatives).
x < -50
I hope this helps!

Bud traveled for 4hours 16minutes on day and 3hours 35minutes the next day. What was his total traveling time?
balu736 [363]

To find the answer to this problem we use addition.

First we know he traveled 256 minutes on the first day. I multiplied 60 by 4 and added 16

Then we know the second day he traveled 215 minutes in the second day 60 multiplied by 3 and add 35

When we add these two times together we get a sum of 471 minutes.

In all, Bud traveled 471 minutes.
