Step-by-step explanation:

\bf \underline{Given-} \\

\sf{ - 4(x) + 10  =  50} \\

\bf \underline{To \: find-} \\

\sf{ \:the \: value \: of \: x = \: ? } \\

\bf \underline{Solution-} \\

\textsf{Given equation,}\\

\sf{ - 4(x) + 10  = 50} \\

  • Now, multiply -4 from (x) to get -4x.

\sf{ \Rightarrow \: - 4x + 10  =  50 } \\

  • Now, +10 will move to RHS then it's sign will be charged -10

\sf{ \Rightarrow \:  - 4x = 50 - 10} \\

  • Subtract 50 from -10 to get 40. Because 50 is greater than -10.

\sf{ \Rightarrow \:  - 4x = 40 } \\

\sf{ \Rightarrow \: x =  \cancel\frac{ -  {40}^{- 10 }}{4}} \\

{  \: \therefore \: \underline{  \boxed{{ \sf{x  = - 10.}}}}}

How do you find the x
lions [1.4K]
Because those are straight lines, the 46 degrees must be equal to the (2x - 4).
2x -4 = 46.
2x = 46 + 4
2x = 50
x = 50/2
x = 25.

Ok so the correct answers are both A. and B.

It would be A. between 1.5 and 2, because the number 1.77 is in between those two numbers. It is greater than 1.5 but also less than 2.

It would be B. to the right of 1.71, because the number 1.77 is greater than 1.71.

I hope this helps! Good luck on your homework!!
