doctors use placebo to see if a patient is lying/faking symptoms, placebos are simply useful to boost people or see if people are lying, what i mean by boost people is when people manifest things they think it’s actually going to happen, for example if they manifest their crush is going to like them and they talk to them and one day their crush confesses, they think it’s the manifestation but it was actually because they interacted with their crush a lot
