How does crossing over create new gene combinations on each chromosome
nasty-shy [4]

Crossing-over is the exchange of genetic material between homologous chromosomes. It results in new combinations of genes on each chromosome. When cells divide during meiosis, homologous chromosomes are randomly distributed to daughter cells, and different chromosomes segregate independently of each other.

Most animals are producers, meaning they are able to create their own food from inorganic sources.
skad [1K]

There is however a group of animals that are autotrophs and create their own food, but they are vastly outnumbered by consumers. 1. If a strand is given to you, and you have to identify whether it is DNA or RNA how will you identify it?
pickupchik [31]
One big way to tell a difference is that DNA is double stranded, in the shape of a double helix, while RNA is single stranded. (This is why RNA can leave the nucleus and DNA cannot) There are also factors that affect the difference like how DNA contains thymine, and when RNA makes copies of it, it becomes uracil.
