HELP PLEASE Now it is time to write about some of the poems you’ve read and studied! So far in this unit, you have examined the

following works: “The Rainy Day,” “Invictus,” “We Real Cool,” “The Negro Speaks of Rivers,” and “The Mending Wall.” Select two of these works and, in a well-developed response of at least two paragraphs, compare and contrast them.
Your response must address the following in each poem:

Answer:

I wont be able to answer this question as this is going to test your ability to read and write. I will tell you how to get an A+

Explanation:

Create a paragraph explaining which poems you chose and why you chose them.

You should create at least 1 paragraph to compare and contrast.

In the paragraph/s you should compare:

 • the two elements of each poem
 • The literary point of view (what the narrator knows)
 • the literary techniques inside each poem
 • how they structure the poem

it would also be smart to compare the theme, mood (etc).

Hyperbole of playing with a ball?

Hyperbole of running fast?

Chose any
Aloiza [94]
A hyperbole for running fast could be “I ran faster than the speed of light.” A hyperbole is simply an exaggeration. “My stomach was so full it almost exploded.” It’s something that isn’t meant to be taken literally.

Rewrite the sentence , using colloquial speech. Would you like to go to the dance with me
ira [324]

Answer:

Come to the dance with me.

A colloquial speech or colloquialism refers to the informal way of conversing and speaking. It includes the layman’s language and vocabulary.

It is free from any formality or extra decency of the formal language.

Hence, it is the general speech with common expression that forms this linguistic variety of language known as colloquialism.

The dictionary term to describe such expression is ‘colloquial’.
