  • 5x-3y=11---(1)
  • 3x+4y=4---(2)

(1)×3 and (2)×5

  • 15x-9y=33-(3)
  • 15x+20y=20-(4)

Subtract both

\\ \sf\longmapsto -29y=13

\\ \sf\longmapsto y=\dfrac{-13}{29}

  • Put in eq(1)

\\ \sf\longmapsto 5x+\dfrac{-117}{29}=11

\\ \sf\longmapsto 5x=11+\dfrac{117}{29}=\dfrac{261+117}{29}=\dfrac{278}{29}

\\ \sf\longmapsto x=\dfrac{278}{145}

Question 13 (2 points)
Eddi Din [679]

Answer:

The math club has 22 students, and the art club has 34 students.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that there are a total of 56 students between the art club and the math club, and that the art club has 12 more students than the math club, to determine how many students there are in each club, the following calculation must be performed:

X + X + 12 = 56

2X + 12 = 56

2X = 56 - 12

X = 44/2

X = 22

Thus, the math club has 22 students, and the art club has 34 students.

The division algorithm states that if p(x) and d(x) are polynomial functions with d left parenthesis x right parenthesis not e
katrin [286]

Answer:

In a division algorithm, p(x) refers to the dividend polynomial, d(x) refers to the divisor polynomial, q(x) refers to the quotient polynomial and r(x) refers to the residula polynomial.

The division algorithm is defined as

p(x)=d(x) \times q(x) +r(x)

Where p(x)\geq d(x) and d(x) \neq 0, other wise the algorithm won't be defined.

So, the complete paragraph is: "if p(x) and d(x) are polynomial functions with d(x)\neq 0 and the degree of d(x) is less than or equal to the degree of p(x), then there exist unique polynomial functions q(x) and r(x) such that  p(x)=d(x) \times q(x) +r(x).

Coordinate plane with triangle EFG with E at 0 comma 5, F at 1 comma 1, and G at negative 2 comma 1. Point H at 1 comma 1 is on
Oksana_A [137]

Answer:

Triangle EFG is dilated by a scale factor of 2 centered at (0, 2) to create triangle E'F'G'. Which statement is true about the dilation?

segment EG ≅ segment E prime G prime.

The slope of segment EF is the same as the slope of segment E prime H prime.

segment H prime F prime will overlap segment HF.

segment EH and segment E prime H prime both pass through the center of dilation.
