When we try to understand and know the
Klio2033 [76]

Answer:

1. Some event in the past may lack sources that tell what really happened without contradicting it.

2. There is total truth about most events that have happened in the past.

3. An interpretation based on facts and evidence becomes more credible than another.

Explanation:

It is important that we know what happened in the past to encourage behaviors that worked and not repeat the same mistakes that citizens have made in the past. In short, the success of the future depends on a full understanding of events that occurred in the past and were able to influence how we live today.

For this reason, it is important that major events are fully and fully documented. These documents will serve to show the citizens of the future what happened and what were its consequences, without addressing contradictions, but addressing facts and evidence. Without these documents, the study of the past becomes very difficult.

It is important to remember that these documents show facts that show the history as it was, as an absolute truth, leaving no scope for incorrect interpretations. An example of this can be seen today in Brazil. Brazil underwent a strong military dictatorship in its past and although there are many documents that prove all the violence and absurdities of that time, many people say that this moment may have been positive, depending on the way that each interprets it.

What law established the first federal minimum wage and abolished child labor?
Margaret [11]

Answer:

Fair Labor Standards Act of 1938

Explanation:

The Supreme Court had been one of the major obstacles to wage-hour and child-labor laws. Among notable cases is the 1918 case of Hammer v. Dagenhart in which the Court by one vote held unconstitutional a Federal child-labor law. Similarly in Adkins v. Children's Hospital in 1923, the Court by a narrow margin voided the District of Columbia law that set minimum wages for women. During the 1930's, the Court's action on social legislation was even more devastating.3

New Deal promise. In 1933, under the "New Deal" program, Roosevelt's advisers developed a National Industrial Recovery Act (NRA).4 The act suspended antitrust laws so that industries could enforce fair-trade codes resulting in less competition and higher wages. On signing the bill, the President stated: "History will probably record the National Industrial Recovery Act as the most important and far-reaching legislation ever enacted by the American Congress." The law was popular, and one family in Darby, Penn., christened a newborn daughter Nira to honor it.

As an early step of the NRA, Roosevelt promulgated a President's Reemployment Agreement "to raise wages, create employment, and thus restore business." Employers signed more than 2.3 million agreements, covering 16.3 million employees. Signers agreed to a workweek between 35 and 40 hours and a minimum wage of $12 to $15 a week and undertook, with some exceptions, not to employ youths under 16 years of age. Employers who signed the agreement displayed a "badge of honor," a blue eagle over the motto "We do our part." Patriotic Americans were expected to buy only from "Blue Eagle" business concerns.

In the meantime, various industries developed more complete codes. The Cotton Textile Code was the first of these and one of the most important. It provided for a 40-hour workweek, set a minimum weekly wage of $13 in the North and $12 in the South, and abolished child labor. The President said this code made him "happier than any other one thing...since I have come to Washington, for the code abolished child labor in the textile industry." He added: "After years of fruitless effort and discussion, this ancient atrocity went out in a day."

Yuki888 [10]

Answer:

<h3>young people are less politically interested.</h3>

Explanation:

The 2008 election in the United States saw the largest young voters turnout with 66% under age of 30 that voted for Barack Obama. The idea that young people were less motivated or interested in political affiliations has been challenged in 2008 elections. Prior to 200* election, the young voters turnout was only about 60.3%.

Political affiliations between the Democratic party and Republican party also grew during the 2008 election. Party identification in the 2008 election grew more towards the Democrats party with 45% identifying themselves as Democrats.

Explain the relationship between World War II and the three-world order. African and Asian countries became part of the Third Wo
DENIUS [597]

Answer:

read below :)

Explanation:

Decolonization of Asia and Africa, mainly occurred during years 1945–1960.

World War II set the scenario for countries to seek independent movements that demanded autonomy.

Many former colonies<em> had provided a significant source of soldiers and sources to the war effort in return for the promise of obtaining political independence.</em>

Once the war was over, many revolutionary movements <u>were supported by the Soviet Union, that saw this as an opportunity to spread socialist and communist influence on the former capitalist colonies.</u>

Examples of this are Cuba, that<em> directly received aid from the USSR, and Algeria, in Africa, with India as well in Asia as new countries that formed.</em>

The Europeans were devastated and had to concentrate in recovering and reestablishing Europe so they did, in turn, were weakened and recognized the newly created and independent states as part of a more inclusive international policy.
