Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Selling price = ₹ 500

Loss percent = 10 %

Cost \ price = \dfrac{100}{100-loss}*Selling \ price\\\\=\dfrac{100}{90}*500\\

= ₹ 555.56

Gain = 8 %

Selling \ price =\dfrac{100+gain}{100}*cost \ price\\\\=\dfrac{108}{100}*555.56

= ₹ 600

Find a polynomial function of least degree having only real coefficients, a leading coefficient of 1, and roots of 2-√6 , 2+ √6
horsena [70]

Answer:

x^{4} -18x^{3}+104x^{2} -172x-100

Step-by-step explanation:

The 3 roots are given out of which 2 are real and 1 is imaginary. For a polynomial of least degree having real coefficients, it must have a complex conjugate root as the 4th root. Therefore, based on 4 roots, the least degree of polynomial will be 4. Finding the polynomial having leading coefficient=1 and solving it based on multiplication of 2 quadratic polynomials, we get:

\\\\x_{1} = 2-\sqrt{6} \\x_{2} = 2+\sqrt{6} \\x_{3}=7-i \\x_{4}=7+i \\\\P(x)=1(x-x_{1})(x-x_{2} )(x-x_{3} )(x-x_{4} ) \\\\=(x-(2-\sqrt{6}))(  x-(2+\sqrt{6} )) (x-(7-i))( x-(7+i))\\=((x-2)+\sqrt{6})( ( x-2)-\sqrt{6} ) ((x-7)+i)( (x-7)-i)\\=((x-2)^{2} -(\sqrt{6} )^{2} )((x-7)^{2}-(i)^{2})\\=(x^{2} -4x-2)(x^{2} -14x+50)\\=x^{4} -18x^{3}+104x^{2} -172x-100\\

Explain how 7/12 is greater than 1/3 but less than 2/3
Zepler [3.9K]
First we will change them on the same denominator which will be 12. If we do something to the denominator we must do the same to the numerator so :
For 1/3 we get  4/12 because (1/3)*4 = 4/12
And for 2/3 we get 8/12 because (2/3)*4 = 8/12
So 1/3 is the smaller fraction, 7/12 is in the middle and 2/3 is the bigger fraction.

V=hb

h= \frac V b

h = \dfrac{ x^3 - 3x^2 + 5x - 3}{x^2 -2}

Expressing that as a quotient and remainder,

h =x - 3 = \dfrac{ 7 x - 9} { x^2 - 2}

First choice.

Which numbers below are part of the domain for this graph? Select all that apply.
olya-2409 [2.1K]

The numbers which are a part of the domain for the graph are: 6, 1 and 2.

<h3>Which numbers are part of the domain?</h3>

The domain of a graph is a set of all possible input, x-values. Consequently, since the domain of the graph given ranges over intergers, 1 to 10, it follows that numbers which are part of the domain are; 6, 2, and 1.
