The
chemical names of acetaminophen is
N-acetyl-p-aminophenol, <span>4-Acetamidophenol and Paracetamol. </span> This
is used as analgesic for mild-to-moderate pain and antipyretic medication or for
fever. In addition, the antipyretic activity of acetaminophen is a result from inhibition of
prostaglandin synthesis and its prostaglandin-mediated effects on the
heat-regulating center in the anterior hypothalamus making the body’s
temperature back to normal.
