With flowers- most are asexual, meaning that if there is harsh conditions like rain or wind. Many of the seeds can be damaged and aren’t able to get to the female to make more. Yet, sexually the seeds are protected by the male until the seed is transferred into the female. But even then, it will be safer. Hope that helped. :)
