The parabola opens down, since the 'a' value of the equation is a negative value.

In the United States, the mean age of men when they marry for the first time follows the normal distribution with a mean of 24.6
Sedbober [7]

Answer:

z= \frac{25-24.6}{\frac{2.8}{\sqrt{66}}}=1.16

So we want to find this probability:

P(z

And using the normal standard distirbution or excel we got:

P(z

Step-by-step explanation:

Let X the random variable that represent the age of men married of a population, and for this case we know the distribution for X is given by:

X \sim N(24.6,2.8)

Where \mu=24.6 and \sigma=2.8

We are interested on this probability

P(\bar X

The sample size is n =66. We can use the z score to solve this problem:

z=\frac{x-\mu}{\frac{\sigma}{\sqrt{n}}}

If we find the z score for 25 we got:

z= \frac{25-24.6}{\frac{2.8}{\sqrt{66}}}=1.16

So we want to find this probability:

P(z

And using the normal standard distirbution or excel we got:

P(z

What's the length of a segment that begins at the point (2, 3) and ends at the point (18, 15)?
DerKrebs [107]
So first of all we need to find the slope and it will give us the answer what is the length of a segment.

To find it we are using the formula:
y2-y1/x2-x1.

15-3/18-2=12/16=3/4.
So I think that the length of the segment is 3/4 cm or what you didn’t tell it for me. Hope this helps.

Sanjay solved the equation below. Which property did he use to determine that 7x+42=42 is equivalent to
Alchen [17]

Step-by-step explanation:

7(x + 6) = 42

<em>distributive property</em><em>:  a(b + c) = ab + ac</em>

(7)(x) + (7)(6) = 42

7x + 42 = 42

<em>subtraction property of equality</em><em>  (subtract 42 from both sides)</em>

7x + 42 - 42 = 42 - 42

7x = 0

<em>division property of equality </em><em>   (divide both sides by 7)</em>

7x : 7 = 0 : 7

x = 0
