What did the colonists of Jamestown initially do wrong when they first came to Virginia?
mixer [17]

The colonists were unable to work together with themselves and the native americans. Conditions such as diseases and famine played a role in decreasing the probability of success. Conflicts with the Native Americans also lowered the success rate of Jamestown. The Jamestown Colony was only successful because the colonists had tobacco and also because they were lucky that the Native Americans weren't able to destroy it.
