What are three reasons why Reconstruction failed to live up to its potential?
Nadya [2.5K]
The three reasons why Reconstruction failed to live up to its potential are:

1. There was a lack of unity in national government.
This is because, Reconstruction happened after Americans' Civil War and some of the people in the government didn't like the idea of establishing this which caused the failures of bring the South America into the country, revive the economy and rebuild the broken landscape.

2. Not enough of the freedmen wanted to become free. Although Reconstruction wanted to infuse the freed slaves into the society, it did not successfully established. This was due to the rise of American organizations that made them feel insecure.

How did president Roosevelt end US isolationism and neutrality during the early years of WWII?
shtirl [24]
Roosevelt sent supplies, military equipment, and surplus to help aid the Allies (usually they wouldn't do this until they were part of the war). In doing this, it shows that the US doesn't wait until they get hit, instead they reach out (even though it was only economically, in the case of military, they still waited). Roosevelt also wasn't really the reason the US ended isolationism. It was more of Emperor Hirohito. He allowed his military generals to attack Hawaii for resources and to continue on their expansions of taking over all of the Pacific. Roosevelt only "convinced" (well, all of them were hopping mad already) Congress to declare war on Japan and Germany.

hope this helps

Was the vietnam war a success for the united states why or why not
Triss [41]
No, it was not. The main reason the U.S. joined the war was to stop the spread of communism, however, they did not achieve that because the Communist North won. Furthermore, it caused tension within the country, and our beloved nationalism was not there. It caused outrage and many protests. The people of the U.S. became tired of the loss of people and many began to see our government as weak.
