Which property is true for metals
san4es73 [151]

most metals conduct electricity and are very dull to the look. most metals are toxic if eaten and are hard.

aluminum is a type of metal they is softer than the opther and conducts eletricty like a boss.

nickel on the opther hand is also a metal but does not conduct a lot of electricy.

metals can be bent and others can break,

If the volume of a gas container at 32 degrees Celsius changes from 1.55 L to 755 mL, what will the final temperature be?
QveST [7]
So to solve this you need to know Charles’s law which is: V1/T1=V2/T2. Where T1 and V1 is the initial volume and Temperature and V2 and T2 is the temperature and volume afterwards. So first plug in the numbers you are given. V1= 1.55L T1= 32C° V2= 755mL T2=?. Since your volumes are two different units you change 755mL to be in L so that would be 0.755 L. And since your temp isn’t in Kelvin you do 273+32= 305K°. You then would rearrange your equation to solve for T2 which is V2T1/V1. Then you plug in your numbers (0.755L)(305K)/1.55L. Then you solve and would be 148.5645161 —> 1.49 x 10^2 K

Identify the ion ratios needed to form neutral compounds from the ions below. The metal ion (cation) is listed first, and the no
Natasha2012 [34]
To figure out the ratios of these compounds, it is important to remember that the charge of these compounds must be neutral.

So in order to make them neutral, you must have specific ratios:

Na^{+}: Br^{-} =1:1; This is true because they both have a charge of magnitude of 1.

Al^{3+}: Cl^{-}=1:3; We need 3 chlorine atoms because we need to balance out the charge from the 3+ charge of aluminum - therefore since chlorine has a 1- charge, we need 3 atoms.

Mg^{2+}: O^{2-}=1:1; The charges of the magnesium (2+) are balanced with the oxygen charge (2-).

Al^{3+}: O^{2-}=2:3; This is correct because if charges are like this, you must find the least common factor in order to know the ratio. The LCF is 6, therefore, for the atom with a 3+ charge, you need 2 of them, and for the atom with a 2- charge, you need 3 of them. This keeps the charge neutral.
