It’s wrong.

The surface area means the area of the outside of the cube.

The area of a square is just width x height. And we are told one of the sides is 5.

A square has all equal sides. So what’s 5x5? then times that by the number of squares

I’ll put the answer in the comments

Is the number of members of Club X greater than the number of members of Club Y ? (1) Of the members of Club X, 20 percent are a
Oliga [24]

Answer:

Yes

Step-by-step explanation:

The 20% of members of club X that are also members of club Y can be written as: P(Y/X) = 20% (that is, the probability of belonging to Y given that it belongs to X)

The 30% of members of club Y that are also members of club X can be written as: P(X/Y) = 30% (that is, the probability of belonging to X given that it belongs to Y)

The formula of conditional probability of A given B is

P(A/B) = (A∩B) / P(A)

Where (A∩B) is the probability that both events A and B occur and P(A) is the probability of A.

Based on that, we can write,

P(Y/X) = P(Y∩X) / P(X) = 20 % = 0.2

P(X/Y) = P(Y∩X) / P(Y) = 30 % = 0.3

Clearing P(Y∩X) of both equations and equalizing,

P(Y/X).P(X) = P(X/Y).P(Y)

Moving terms ,

P(X) / P(Y) = P(X/Y) / P(Y/X) = 0.3 / 0.2 = 1.5

That is, P(X) is 1.5 times P(Y), which means that the amount of members of X is greater than the members of Y.

The tool is easy to use. All you need to do is choose the number of words you want to create (the default is five, but you can input any number you'd like) and the type of words you want. You can choose from all words, verbs only, nouns only or adjective only depending on which best meets your needs.

4.5, 9, 13.5, 18...
Sladkaya [172]

Answer:

a) Arithmetic

b) 22.5

c) 4.5

d) a_n = 4.5 + 4.5(n - 1)

e) a_15 = 67.5

Step-by-step explanation:

a) Subtract one term by the term right before it, and the difference will be the common difference.

9 - 4.5 = 4.5

13.5 - 9 = 4.5

18 - 13.5 = 4.5

Therefore, the common difference is 4.5.

b) Since the common difference is 4.5, add 4.5 to the 18 (which was the last value given). The result is 22.5.

c) We have already figured out that the common difference is 4.5.

d) The explicit formula would be a_n = a1 + d(n - 1). The first term is 4.5 and d is also 4.5, so the explicit formula is a_n = 4.5 + 4.5(n-1).

e) Plug 15 into our explicit formula for n. a_15 = 4.5 + 4.5(14). The result is 67.5.
