Sometimes the outlier, if it's too large, can throw off the mean, making it larger and smaller, so it isn't as accurate

sorry if this doesnt make sense if you need me to explain it more I will

When you include the outlier, the men will be far away from the data set.

When you don't include the outlier, the mean will be within the data set.

Hope this helps :)

Find the measure of angle x in the figure below<br><br>A.35°<br>B.47°<br>C.51°<br>D.62°
Dafna11 [192]
First of all, we know that a line is 180°. This means if we add the angles of 61°, 57°, and angle y, we should get 180<span>°.

\sf 61\textdegree +57\textdegree+y=180\textdegree

Simplify:

\sf 118\textdegree +y=180\textdegree

Subtract 118° to both sides:

\sf y=62\textdegree

We also know that all three angles of a triangle add up to 180<span>°. So we have:

\sf 67\textdegree+62\textdegree +x=180\textdegree

Simplify:

\sf 129\textdegree +x=180\textdegree

Subtract 129° to both sides:

\sf x=\boxed{\sf 51\textdegree}

If a person lnvests $120 at 8% annual interest, find the approximate value of the investment at the end of 5 years
Pie

Answer:

$176.3193692 or $176.32 (rounded to two decimal places)

Step-by-step explanation:

It is a compound interest, which means the interest accumulates on an initial amount each period.

The formula is A=P(1+R)^n

A= the total amount P=initial amount      R=rate   n=time (years)

P=$120   Rate= 8% or 0.08 (decimal)  n=5 (years)

A=120 (1+0.08)^2

A=120 (1.469328077)

A= 176.3193692
