Answer: 6.71, and 6.7

Step-by-step explanation:

In order to write to two decimal places, we must first calculate the square root of 45.

The square root of 45 is 6.708

Therefore, when we round, we get 6.71

In order to write to two sig figs, we remember that sig figs are the number digits without zeros on the end.

Therefore, all we take is the 6.7

Answer:

13 1/8 units³

Step-by-step explanation:

(see attached for reference)

Volume = Length x Width x Height

= 1 1/2 x 3 1/2 x 2 1/2     (convert to improper fractions)

= 3/2  x  7/2  x 5/2

= (3 x 7 x 5) / (2 x 2 x 2 )

= 105/8

= 13 1/8 units³

What number must be added to both sides of the equation to complete the square ?
77julia77 [94]
First consider (x+c)^2 where c is just a random constant. if we expand this by foil (which is distributive property twice), we get x^2 + 2cx+ c^2. we want to find c^2 and to do that, we can first find c. we can find c by looking at the 2cx term. this term should match with 12x, so therefore 2c = 12 so c = 6. this also implies that c^2 = 36.
note that for this problem i was working backwards which is a very powerful problem solving tool: start with what you want to attain, and then see how you can go from where you are now to get to your destination.

Graph A: A horizontal line goes from (1, 0.5) to (2, 0.5). Another horizontal line goes form (2, 0.2) to (7, (0, 2). Graph B: A
ZanzabumX [31]

Answer: neither graph A nor graph B, because, even though both curves are above the horizontal axis, neither graph has an area of 1

Step-by-step explanation:

<em>Areas under the graphs:</em>

<em />

<u>Graph A</u>

<u />(1)(0.5)+(7-2)(0.2)=1.5\\\\

<u>Graph B</u>

<u />\frac{\pi}{2}(1^{2})=\frac{\pi}{2}

As neither of these graphs have an area of 1, neither of them are density curves.
